The Right Triangle

Like many card markers I sometimes struggle trying to create cards that are a little more masculine.  Afterall, not all men fish, hunt or golf so it is nice to have a bundle that is a little more flexible and I sure found that with this one.  While I think this card is a little more on the masculine side, just image it with some nice pinks or yellows and just what a different embossing folder could do for the card.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Seaside Spray cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I then cut a layer of Basic White that measured 4 x 5 ¼” and was embossed using the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder.  I then cut three of the Equilateral Triangles, the largest was cut out of a 4 x 4” piece of the Artistry Blooms DSP.  The third largest was cut out of a 2 ½ x 2 ½” piece of Seaside Spray cardstock.  The fourth largest was cut out of a 2 x 2” piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

I centered the largest triangle about ¼” down on the basic white layer and adhered it directly to the card base.  For the other two triangles I added them using Dimensionals.  For the sentiment I stamped “happy birthday” from the Timeless Tulips stamp set onto a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock using Blackberry Bliss ink and die cut it using one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

For the inside of the card (and the envelope as well) I stamped two of the triangle stamps onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” using Seaside Spray ink (for the envelope I just stamped one on the bottom left).

This really was a nice simple card to create and because of that it was a lot of fun.  I am looking forward to recreating it using some other Designer Series Papers, embossing folders and other colors.  I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Happy Crafting!!!
