Two-Tone Flora Bundle Meets Fine Shimmer Paper

Today’s card features the new Two-Tone Flora Bundle and Fine Shimmer Paper from the January – April 2023 Mini Catalog.  Now one thing that is unfortunately is that no matter how I photograph this card you just can’t see the beautiful shimmer on the Fresh Freesia layer.  I knew the minute I saw this bundle I had to have it and I was so right, it is amazing to work with and so easy to use. 

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Fresh Freesia cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.  I then cut a layer that measures 4 x 5 ½” from one of the Fresh Freesia Fine Shimmer papers.  I attached that layer to the center of my card base (it is about 1/8” narrower than the card base on each the left and right sides).  I then cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 ¼ x 5 ½” and die cut the beautiful intricate floral pattern on the card front using one of the dies from the Two-Tone Flora Bundle.  

To finish the front the card I stamped (using the stamp set in the bundle) the details part of three of the flowers (image #1 below) onto Basic White with Fresh Freesia Ink and then stamped over those with the rest of the flower (image #2 below), for this I inked the stamp with Fresh Freesia Ink and stamped off once before adding it to the first image.  I also stamped three sets of leaves from the set onto the cardstock using Pear Pizzazz ink and then die cut all the flowers and leaves using the coordinating dies from the bundle.  I added these to the front of the card using Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and added one of the flowers and one set of leaves.  I did the same for the envelope so everything coordinated really well.

Dainty Flowers Card Folder Box and Coordinating Cards

Dainty Flowers Simple and Easy

Today’s card is another one made from a free product I earned during Sale-A-Bration (remember you can also enjoy earning free products with purchase from now through February, while supplies last).  The free product featured in today’s card is the Dainty Flower Designer Series Paper.  This pack of paper includes 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 double sided designs that are 12 x 12” and beautiful.  Watch for more great projects made with this paper as I loved it so much I got two of the packs to play with.

Here is what I came up with today…

And here is the paper pack that can be earned with a qualifying $50 purchase, as you can see the papers are really beautiful.  

The card base is Orchid Oasis cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of the Designer Series Paper (love this one with the oval of flowers on it) to 3 ¾ x 5” and I mounted that onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  Once those two pieces were attached to one another I wrapped them with White Twine (twice) and tied a bow.  I added this to my card base. 

Next, I cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock to ¾ x 2 ½” and stamped my sentiment “celebrate you” from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set onto it using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I cut one side with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and popped it up on the card with Dimensionals.  For my final embellishment I added three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Adorable Owls

I just love free products that is one of the reasons I love Sale-A-Bration.  During the month of January and February you can earn free products with qualifying purchases like the adorable owls stamp set I used for todays card.  I just thought this little guy (and his two buddies) were just too cute to pass up.   

Here is the first card I created with the set…

To create the card, I cut a card base is Sahara Sand cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.   I then cut a second piece of the Sahara Sand cardstock to 3 x 4” and embossed it with the new Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder (a new product from the January - April Mini Catalog).  I attached my embossed cardstock to a piece of Early Espresso cardstock that measured 3 ¼ x 4 ¼” and then wrapped that with a piece of the Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim that I tied in a square knot.  I centered this on the front of the card base.

Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 1 7/8 x ½” and stamped my sentiment (from the set) It’s your day! on it with Early Espresso Ink.  I mounted this on a piece of Early Espresso cardstock that measured ¾ x 2 1/8” and added that to my card.  I stamped my cute little owl onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and die cut it with the Layering Circles Dies.  I also cut a mat for it using the next size up on the dies out of Early Espresso.  After coloring in my owl, I added it to the mat and popped the whole thing up onto the front of the card using Dimensionals.

To color my owl, I used the following Stampin’ Blend markers: Crumb Cake (both), Light Pumpkin Pie and Light Old Olive.  For my final touch I did color the green of the eyes with Wink of Stella (this doesn’t show well in pictures but in person it gives the eyes that wet look that makes them pop). 

For the inside of the card, I simply cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped another owl (this time the one with the cute bow tie) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored him using the same colors as I did the previous owl.

Happy New Year - Hear all the great news
