Blessings of Home Slimline Card

Today I decided to create another Slimline card using the Heart & Home Suite of products.  I specifically used the Blessings of Home Bundle and the Heart & Home 12 x 12” Designer Series Paper.  I just love this suite of products and I wanted to use it to show that a slimline card doesn’t have to be a vertical card.   

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Basic White cardstock that is cut to 7 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 3 ¾” on the 7 ½” side.  I added a layer of Basic Gray that measures 3 4/8 x 8 3/8”.  Next, I added a layer of the wood panel looking paper from the Heart & Home 12 x 12” Designer Series Paper that measures 3 ½ x 8 ¼”. 

With this all assembled I started to work on my stamping for my card.  I stamped two of the floral bouquets from the Blessings of Home Bundle onto Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and die cut them using the coordinating dies and colored with the Stampin’ Blends listed below.  I attached them to the front of my card as shown using Dimensionals.  I did add some Wink of Stella to the larger highland heather colored flowers.  (Be sure to leave room for your sentiment to sit into). 

Next, I stamped the sentiment “YOU ARE A REAL BLESSING TO EVERYONE AROUND YOU” from the Blessings of Home Bundle onto Basic White cardstock with Gorgeous Grape Ink and punched it out using the Everyday Label Punch.  I also punched out a second label from Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  I cut the gorgeous grape one in half and attached a piece to the top and bottom of the sentiment label allowing a little to stick out of both ends and attached it to the center of the card using Dimensionals.  For my final addition I added five of the Pastel Pearls.

For the inside I simply stamped a part of the bouquet on the bottom corner using Basic Gray Ink and I did the same on the Slimline Envelope.  These envelopes come in a package of 15 with 5 each of Soft Succulent, White and Smoky Slate and each has a nice liner as well.

Waves of the Ocean Kicked Up

I am really loving the entire Waves of the Ocean Collection.  The Waves of Inspiration Bundle will be available in the new 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog.  The other elements including the Waves of the Ocean 12 x 12” DSP, Blue Foils 12 x 12 Specialty Papers and Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels will only be available from now to May 2^nd while supplies last.  Don’t miss out this is a beautiful set and the papers are amazing it will go fast I am sure so order yours now.  So, for my todays card I wanted to use all the products I could and that is what I did, I used the stamps, dies, foils and DSP to create this card.      

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Night of Navy cardstock that is cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper to 4 x 5 ¼” and then I stamped the wave from the Waves of Inspiration Bundle on the bottom left corner using Night of Navy ink.  Next, I got busy die cutting, using the dies from the bundle I cut one wave out of the dark blue and one out of the lighter blue from the Blue Foils 12 x 12” Specialty Paper and layered them over the stamped image.  I then die cut the label for my sentiment out of Basic White cardstock and stamped the sentiment “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” from the stamp set onto it with Hight of Navy ink.  I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to ¼ x 3 ½” and flagged each end and threaded it through the label.  I added this to the card using Dimensionals.  I then die cut two small and one large cloud out of Basic White cardstock, I also cut the layering pieces that give the clouds that 3-Dimensional look.  I popped the largest cloud up on Dimensionals and adhered the smaller ones to either side tucking them under the large one.  I die cut 3 sea birds from the dies in the bundle out of Basic Gray cardstock and added them to the card.

Waves of the Ocean

I finally broke down and purchased the entire Waves of the Ocean Collection.  This new collection is an early release collection from Stampin’ Up!  While the Waves of Inspiration Bundle will be available in the new 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog the other elements including the Waves of the Ocean 12 x 12” DSP, Blue Foils 12 x 12 Specialty Papers and Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels will only be available from now to May 2^nd while supplies last.  Don’t miss out this is a beautiful set and the papers are amazing it will go fast I am sure so order yours now.  So, for my first card I wanted keep it simple and use just the Designer Series Paper, the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set and the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels.        

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Bermuda Bay cardstock that is cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I then added a layer of Night of Navy that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  For my stamping I took a piece of the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper and cut it to 3 ¾ x 5”.  I placed that in my Stamparatus, if you don’t know what this is and would like to know why it is such great tool check out this YouTube from Stampin’ Up!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3teCr7Xo4G8  Using the wave stamp from the Waves of Inspiration I line it up in my Stamparatus.  I stamp it first with Bermuda Bay Ink and then I add Pacific Point ink to several spots on the stamp using a Dauber and stamp and finally I do that same thing with Night of Navy Ink.  It will take several times stamping with each color to achieve the look I got.  This is why the Stamparatus is so important, you can stamp over and over in exactly the same spot.  Once that was stamped, I stamped my sentiment also from the same stamp set onto the right top corner using Night of Navy ink.  

For my finishing touches I added three of the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels and stamped five of the sea birds from the stamp set randomly with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  This is a good time to explain that odd numbers of embellishments are more pleasing to the eye than even numbered ones, so that is why mine are always odd numbers.  For the inside I simply cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the piling and seagull from the stamp set using Memento Black Ink.  I colored it in using the Stampin’ Blends listed below.

Shaded Summer 3D

Today I decided to kick up the card I created yesterday using the Shaded Summer stamp set and create a new one with some different colors and some fussy cutting.  It is always fun to see how changing up just small elements can totally change to look of a card.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Magenta Madness cardstock that is cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and ran it through the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and added it to my card.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock using the one of rectangle stitched die from the Scalloped Contour Dies.  I then stamped my image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it in with Magenta Madness and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  I fussy cut the image out and popped it up with Dimensionals.  For my final touch I added three of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Shaded Summer in Bumblebee

Today I decided to pull out my Shaded Sumer stamp set and get creative.  I knew I wanted to add some embossing and some ribbon, I just got this Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon and I wanted to use it.  I thought I would use some bright spring colors.      

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Bumblebee cardstock that is cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and ran it through the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and added it to my card.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock using the rectangle stitched die from the Nature’s Thoughts Dies.  I then stamped my image onto this piece using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it in with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  I wrapped a piece of the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around this piece and tied another piece of it around that creating a square knot.  I added this layer to the card using Dimensionals.  For my final touch I added three of the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
