THE PEARFECT FRIEND CARD

Today’s card features the Perfectly Pears Bundle and the Painterly Pairs Designer Series paper.  I am loving this product line, did you know you can cut out pears and flowers from one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper with the dies in the bundle?  The colors are bright and fun to work with and there are just so many possiblities.  I saw a card that Mary Knabe had designed and loved the color combination so here is my take on that.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Secret Sea cardstock cut to 3 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.  I then cut a piece of the beautiful Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper (watch the direction if you want a horizonal card) to 2 x 5 ½” and mounted that onto a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock that measured 2 ½ x 5 ½”.  Once that was complete, I wrapped a piece of the gorgeous Mossy Meadow and Gold Ribbon that is part of this suite of products around that and then attached it to the front of my card.  I created a bow with that same ribbon and added it to my card using Mini Glue Dots.  I grabbed a piece of scrap Granny Apple Green cardstock and stamped the sentiment “A good friend is a gift” (now isn’t that the truth) onto it using Secret Sea Ink.  I used one of the stitched rectangle dies from the Textured Notes Dies to cut it out.  I added it to the front of my card using Dimensionals.  To finish off the card I added three of the Low-Profile Sparkle Dots.

For the inside of the card, I simply cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼”.  I added one of the small pear bunches that I die cut from the Designer Series Paper using the coordinating die from the bundle.  (NOTE:  I used one of the pear bunches that was right on the side of the paper so it was not a full image.  I just added it to the edge of my white cardstock and it looked like it was done on purpose and it was a great way to get the most out of my DSP.)

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
