HAPPY DAY

Today’s card features the Fields In Bloom Stamp which is currently slated to retire (so if you like it get it now before it is gone).  This stamp set is what is referred to as a two-step stamping set, meaning that two stamps are used to overlay two colors to get an image that has more than a single color (see the image below).  You will see that in the flowers on this card.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Petunia Pop cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a layer of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped image #1 (see below) the clouds on the top half using Balmy Blue Ink.  I then stamped image #3 the stems and leave of the flowers in Shy Shamrock to the bottom half of the layer.  Finally, I added image #2 the flowers which were stamped in Petunia Pop Ink.  You simply line the flowers up in the void areas of the stems and leaves and stamp.

Once all the stamping on this layer was complete, I wrapped a piece of the Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon around the layer adhering the two ends to the back of the layer and adhered the whole thing to the center of my card base.  I stamped my sentiment “Hope your day is a happy one” onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Petunia Pop Ink and die cut it with one of the stitched square dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I added a piece of Petunia Pop cardstock to the back of the sentiment that measured 1 ¾ x 1 ¾” and popped the whole thing up on my card using Dimensionals.

It is amazing how quick and easy this card was to create using the two-step stamping and minimal supplies.  I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
