So Grateful

I have so much in my life to be grateful for and my friends and family are among the most import of them.  So I decided it was time to make some cards to remind them how grateful I am to have them in my life.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Whisper White (you don’t see it as it is all covered on the front so Whisper White is cheaper to work with and easier to write sentiments on) cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then cut a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock to 4 ¼ x 5 ½” and ran it through the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder (hard to see here but it left my card front covered in cute little 3D flowers.  To this I added a piece of the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper (another one that is made with foil print and I just love the look) that measured 3 ¾ x 5”.

I then headed over to my die cutting machine and cut a piece of Gold Foil and a piece of Vellum cardstock (remember when adhering Vellum to hide your adhesive behind something, like there I hide it behind the flowers and the sentiment) using the dies from the Ornate Styles Bundle (I love how they layer so beautifully).  I stamped the large floral image and the small flower onto Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink.  There is no die for the flowers but they were really easy to fussy cut.  I colored them using Stampin’ Blends (I will list the colors below).

I stamped my sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set onto a piece of Mint Macaroon cardstock that measured 5/8 x 3 ½” using Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with my Heat Tool and White Embossing Powder.  I popped the sentiment and the small flower up with Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I will list the supplies I used below and you can find the supplies for this card and many more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog.

Let's Take a Journey Today

I am continuing to really enjoy this new World of Good suite.  It is often hard to find the perfect suite of products to make masculine cards but this suite hits the nail on the head.  Here is my next card using this amazing suite …

The card base was created from the new Misty Moonlight cardstock that measure 4 ¼ x 11” and was scored at 5 ½”.  I added a piece of the coordinating World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  I used the new Beautiful World Bundle to cut the globe and larger of the two globe stands out of Gold Foil Sheet.  I also cut a piece of the Gold Foil sheet to 1 ½ x 3 ½” and a piece of the Misty Moonlight cardstock to 1 ¼ x 3”, I cut each of these into a flag using my Banner Triple punch.  I stamped my sentiment (from the stamp set in the bundle) onto the Misty Moonlight flag using Memento ink.  I then added the sentiment and the globe using dimensionals (I found the mini dimensionals worked the best under the globe).

I stamped my sentiment (from the stamp set in the bundle) onto the Misty Moonlight flag using Memento ink.  I then added the sentiment and the globe using dimensionals (I found the mini dimensionals worked the best under the globe). This is a very fast and simple card that is very easy to make.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I will list the supplies I used below and you can find the supplies for this card and many more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog.

Strip Card

We all have those little pieces of Designer Series Paper laying around from projects.  We really hate to throw them away but how small a piece should you save?  Well, today I am going to show you a card I made using strips of leftover paper that measure just ¾” wide.  I picked two coordinating papers (remember they are 2 sided papers so that gives you 4 designs to work with) I am working with the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Paper here.

Here is a photo of the card I created using these strips…

The card base is Calypso Coral cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then added a layer of Bumble Bee cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  Next, I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 3 ¾ x 5”, this is the base for my strips.  I started by laying two long strips of the DSP across the card diagonally leaving about 1/16” between the strips so the whisper white shows through (just let the excess hang of this layer, it is easier just to trim everything down once you have all your strips adhered).  Then I took strips and started laying them off each of the two large horizonal strips until my card front was complete.  Once everything was in place, I trimmed the strips and adhered this layer onto my card.

I stamped my sentiment which is from the Ornate Thanks stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Early Espresso ink that I had die cut using the Ornate Layers Dies.  I mounted that onto a piece of Bubble Bee cardstock that measured 1 ¼ x 4 ¼” and popped that up on the front of the card using Dimensionals.  I added three gems from the Gilded Gems embellishments that coordinate with this suite and a bow created from one of the ribbons in the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack.  I love how the card turned out and the best part is I used scraps to create it.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I will list the supplies I used below and you can find the supplies for this card and many more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog.

Celebrate Sunflowers

For today’s post I decided to create using the new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp and die bundle the Flowers for Every Season Designer series paper.  I also played around with some of the new 2020 – 2022 In Color cardstock.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base was made using the new Bumble Bee cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then added a layer of the new Just Jade cardstock that measured 3 ¼ x 5 ½” and was centered on the card front.  I also added a layer of the new Flowers for Every Season DSP that measured 2 7/8 x 5 ½” and that was centered onto the Just Jade layer.

I then die cut the base of the flower (I am using the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp and Die Bundle, remember when you order them as a bundle you save 10% on each of them) from So Saffron cardstock and inked the outside edges with Bumble Bee ink.  I then cut the top layer of the flower from Bumble Bee cardstock (to add dimension I used my bone folder to curl the petals of this layer up just a bit).  I die cut the center of the sunflower out of the new Cinnamon Cider cardstock and inked the edges of it with Cinnamon Cider ink.  I then stamped two of the leaves onto Whisper White cardstock using Just Jade ink and die cut them.  To add some extra color, I just brushed water colored some Just Jade ink onto the flower with my Water Painters (just stamp a little ink onto an acrylic block and add a little water to thin it for painting, don’t go to dark or heavy), I added a little curve to my leaves using my bonefolder to make them look more interesting.  I then stamped my sentiment (also from the bundle) onto a piece of Just Jade cardstock that measured 4 x 1” using, Tuxedo Black Memento ink and I cut one end using the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.  I added the flower, leaves and sentiment onto the card using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I will list the supplies I used below and you can find the supplies for this card and many more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog.
