Feeling Blessed

I had such a wonderful day yesterday.  I was lucky to be able to enjoy a wonderful lunch with some amazing women from my Sunday School class.  When I arrived home I realized I needed to put my feelings into a card and thanks to the great idea I got from Ava's card that I cased yesterday I knew just what to do.  So here is the result...

This card is simply a mixture of previous cards I have posted on here just using some different inks and stamp sets.

I also wanted to show a very simple card made with just the stamps from the bundle as well.  Here you go...

This card was created with three layers, the actual cardbase which is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  The second layer is 4 x 5 1/4" and is cut from Basic Black cardstock.  The top layer is also Flirty Flamingo cut to 3 3/4 x 5".

I stamped the rose using all three of the different layers offered in this stamp set (the more you use the more detail you achieve).  I stamped the first layer in the softest tone I was using which was Flirty Flamingo, the second layer was stamped using Calypso Coral and the third layer (the darkest and most defined) was stamped using the new Terracotta Tile Ink.  I did the roses first and then masked them as needed to add the leaves.  The leaves are also three layers, I started with Soft Seafoam and then moved to Pear Pizzazz and the final (darkest and most defined layer) was stamped using Mossy Meadow.

To finish the card I simply stamped the word "Blessed" diagonally across the center of the card.  I then layered the top layer onto the basic black layer, wrapped a piece of the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the card and tied a bow.  I popped this onto the base and in just a few minutes I had a cute and simple card.

This bundle "To a Wild Rose" is perfect for both involved and simple cards, and I love the sentiment "Blessed" because that is exactly what I am, blessed to have a wonderful family, great friends and an amazing crafting community.  Thank all of you who follow me, I hope you love this project.

Loving Stampin Up

Today I  found a great card on the Stampin Up Demonstrators Facebook Page that I really wanted to CASE (that is Copy and Share Everywhere).  I am so blessed to belong to a community of women (and a few men as well) who love what they do and love to share that with others.  This card is pretty close to the card I saw that was created by a very talented lady Eva Dobilas.

I just fell in love with Eva's card but there were a few tweaks I wanted to make to make it my own.

First I stamped three daisies on Rococo Rose cardstock with Rococo Rose ink (Eva used Rococo Rose ink on whisper white) and I stamped a fourth daisy onto velum with versa mark ink and embossed using white embossing powder.  I punched the center of the daisy out using my 1/2 punch and added it for additional interest.

I also changed a few of the layers.  My base layer is Purple Posy and is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded into a base card.  My next layer is Rococo Rose and measures 3 3/4 x 5".  My top layer is whisper white and measures 3 5/8 x 4 7/8".  I sponged some Seaside Spray ink across from the top left to the bottom right of the card.  I then stamped the ferns using Pear Pizzazz ink, stamped the sentiment using Rococo Rose.

Like Ava I chose to add the Purple Posy Scalloped Linen Ribbon cut at and angle.  I also chose to add silver metallic thread behind my daisy and some silver metallic pearls.  Finally, I just added a dimensional under my daisy and placed it on the card.

Again I am so thankful that I am part of such an amazing stamping community.  All the supplies used to create this card can be found on my website at www.craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog.  As always, Happy Crafting!!!

In Colors

I am really enjoying this years new in colors so today I created a card that focused on several of them.  I used the Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray cardstock to create with.  I used the Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose inks and even some of the new Rococo Rose scalloped linen ribbon on this card...

For some reason I had stopped using embossing powder as much as I once did but when I purchased this beautiful To A Wild Rose stamp and die bundle I knew I needed to pull out that embossing powder and do some embossed resist with this set.

I started with a Seaside Spray card base, added a 4 x 5 1/4" layer of the Pretty Peacock.  I cut a layer of the whisper white that was 3 3/4 x 5" and I simply sponged it with a light dusting of the Seaside Spray ink.  Next I used the little speckled stamp from the Beauty Abounds stamp set to add in some Rococo Rose.  I stamped the sentiment using Pretty Peacock and added the Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon around the center of the card.

With all my layers completed I started on my focal point.  I stamped the rose and leaves onto whisper white cardstock with versa mark ink and added white embossing powder.  I grabbed my trusty daubers and started coloring in the center of the rose with the Rococo Rose ink, I moved onto the outer edges and used Seaside Spray (be sure to blend the two as well to add a third layer of color to your rose).  For the leaves I used daubers and added Soft Seafoam and Pear Pizzazz ink.

Finally, I added the rose using dimensionals and glued the leaves up under it.  I did color three of the jewels basic rhinestones with my stamp and write markers in pretty peacock, rococo rose and seaside spray and added them to the card as a final touch.

I am happy with the outcome and I hope you like it as well.  All of the supplies used to make this card are available for purchase on my website at www.craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping cart at the top of this blog.  Just a reminder if you place an order between now and the end of July using Hostess Code:  ESGKSBFD you will receive the free PDF files for the month (check out previous blog posts to see which ones are included).  If you wish to place an order of $150 or more be sure to contact me to get your own hostess code so you can collect your hostess rewards (you will also receive the free PDF files)

Everything is coming up Daisies

Daisies and more daisies, I am just loving this new Daisy Lane Bundle.  Here is today's creation:

So I decided I wanted to match up this stamp and punches with this years new in colors.

So I started with a base that was made using the pretty peacock cardstock (a little dark in this pic, hubby really needs to help me get my photo box set up) and then I added a layer of whisper white that I stamped with the ferns (some second generation as well) using pear pizzazz and soft seafoam ink.

The daisies were created using a mixture of cardstock and inks that included whisper white, seaside spray, rococo rose and purple posy (the purple posy ink is not available at this time so I simply used my stampin write marker to stamp with).  I mixed some of the larger daisies in with some of the medium daisies and played around with the colors until I got a mix I liked (each daisy is three layers of the large and three layers of the medium daisies).  I shaped the petals a bit with my bone folder to give them more dimension (speaking of dimension I did pop the medium daisy centers up on the larger ones using a dimensional).  I stamped the sentiment on purple posy cardstock with the pretty peacock ink and punched it out using the timeless label punch.  I added a second layer of the punch that was made from the rococo rose cardstock and added a little of the silver metallic thread and popped it on with dimensionals.  I added some bling from my stash and there you have it.

I was pretty pleased with how the card turned out.  I hope you enjoyed it.  Remember if you make a purchase between now and the end of July and use the hostess code: ESGKSBFD you will receive the PDF files for the indicated projects from this blog (if you wish to make a purchase of $150 or more be sure to contact me so that I can set you up with your own hostess code so you can enjoy some free product, you will still receive the PDF files).   This months featured product is the Daisy Lane Bundle.  If you wish to place an order for any of the products shown here just head over to my website at www.craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or click on the shopping cart at the top of this post.

Time for Floral Romance

So I loved the affect I got using the crackled paint background stamp and copper embossing powder on my Daisy Lane card so today I decided it was time to create a card using that technique and the new Floral Essence stamp set.  It did involve a little fussy cutting but the result is well worth the effort.  Here is what I came up with...

Place any order on my website at www.craftwithronnie.stampinup.net and use hostess code ESGKSBFD (if you wish to place an order of $150 or more please contact me for your own hostess code so you can earn free items) from now until the end of July and I will send you a PDF file that includes the full instructions for this card.

I would seriously recommend the Floral Essence Bundle (Item #151055) I have really created some beautiful projects with it.  Here is another example...

I hope you enjoy these projects and as always, Happy Crafting!!!

Rustic Daisy Lane

So I had a bunch of fun creating an elegant card using the Daisy Lane set yesterday (I also threw in one of the new 2019 - 2021 In Colors - Pretty Peacock) so today I decided to try for something rustic (this could even be given to a guy).  So here is what I came up with, what do you think?

I had so much fun creating these cards that anyone who orders the Daisy Lane stamp set from my website at www.craftwithronnie.stampinup.net (or you can click on the shopping button at the top of this blog) from now through July 22nd will receive a free PDF file emailed to them with the instructions to create this and other cards showcased here.  Just be sure to add your email address with your order and I will get them right out to you.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do and as always, Happy Crafting!!!

Elegant Daisy Lane

I was playing around with the new Daisy Lane stamp set and wanted to see if I could make it a little more elegant and here is what I came up with.

I love the look I got from using black as my base.  I have prepared instructions for making this card that I will be offering free to anyone who purchases the Daisy Lane stamp set from my website at www.craftwithronnie.stampinup.net (or click the shopping button at the top of this blog) between now and July 22nd.  I do have to say however, I did take a little liberty and used a sentiment that is not in the Daisy Lane stamp set but there are others there that will work nicely.  Check out the stamp set below.  This is just one of the free instruction sheets being offered (check out previous and watch for future posts about this offer).

A Good Man

A Good Man, now isn't that what we all need?  So many of us have been blessed to find good men throughout our lives and for that we are thankful.  I have been blessed with many but there are three that really stand out, my father, my father in law and my wonderful husband.  I am always struggling to find nice masculine stamp sets to make cards for the men in my life so when this new stamp set - A Good Man, item #149270, was introduced in the new annual catalog I was thrilled.

I just love the images on this set as well as the great sentiments.  While I used these to make Father's Day Cards this set would be amazing for any masculine card.  I can certainly see some masculine Birthday Cards coming from this set as well.  Here are my cards:

For my Dad

For my Father In Law

For my husband

Didn't they turn out great?  I am very pleased with each of them.  I have to admit the new Stamp and Blend alcohol markers make me look way more talented then I am when it comes to the coloring.  I hope you enjoy these cards and as always all the products used to make these cards can be found on my website at www.craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog.
