PEACE, LOVE & JOY

Today’s card features the Peace on Earth Bundle, the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper and the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper.  I am just in love with this whole collection.  The colors are great and it is really fun to work with.  I have been playing around with it creating as many different types of cards as I can.

Here is what I came up with today…

The card base is Secret Sea cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of the blue colored Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper to 4 x 5 ¼” for a layer (Note: I hate to waste beautiful paper so when I am using something like glimmer paper for a layer I die cut out as many images as I can from the center where it will be covered.  In this case I die cut the large foliage piece from the bundle for the inside and two doves that I will be using on my next card before attaching it to my card base.  Next, I cut a piece of the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper to 3 ¾ x 5” and added it to the glimmer layer (I love this paper with the doves on it).  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to ½ x 3 ¾” and stamped the sentiment “PEACE, LOVE & JOY” on it with Secret Sea Ink (I stamped near the left edge so I could create a flag and add an embellishment) and then just cut a little flag over on the right side.  I attached my sentiment to the center of the card with Dimensionals.  For a final touch I added one of the embellishments from the Opal Rounds Assortment. 

For the inside I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4” and attached the glimmer foliage I had previously cut out of the first layer on the front of the card.  This was a fast and simple card so it is a great one if you need to create a bunch of them.
