Today’s card features the Impressions Abloom Bundle and the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. I love to create 3D flowers and this bundle is perfect for that. I wanted to create a card that mixed die cut flowers and stamped flowers and this is what I came up with…
The card base is Early Espresso cardstock
cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. I
cut a piece of Floral Impressions DSP to 4 x 5 ¼” and then cut that in half at
2”. I used the floral side of the paper
for the top of my card and the green neutral back of the same design for the
bottom. I just taped the two pieces
together on the back and then wrapped a piece of ¼” White Ribbon across the
front and attached it in the back. I
mounted this onto my card base and went to work on my 3D flowers. I die cut two of the larger flowers out of
Daffodil Delight cardstock and four of the smaller flowers out of Petal Pink
cardstock (great way to use up scraps).
I adhered the two layers of each flower to one another offsetting them
just a hair. I also die cut one large
and two small flower centers out of Early Espresso cardstock and added those to
the center of the flowers. The flowers
were added to the card base with Dimensionals.
I die cut two leave out of Garden Green cardstock and added them tucked
up under the larger of the flowers. The
sentiment “just a note” is from the Beautiful Motifs Stamp Set and it was
stamped on a scrap of Basic White cardstock with Garden Green Ink. I then die cut it using the Stylish Shapes
Dies. I also cut a second one of the flags
using that same die out of Daffodil Delight cardstock and cut it in half. I attached each half to either end of my
sentiment leaving about a ¼” of it revealed.
I added the sentiment to the front right bottom with Dimensionals.
For the inside of the card, I cut a piece
of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the flower (this is a two-step
stamp so there are two stamps that create both the flower and the leaves) using
Lemon Lolly Ink for the main image and Daffodil Delight Ink for the detailed
image. I stamped the two leaves using Garden
Green Ink, I stamped off once before stamping the main image. The center is stamped with Pecan Pie Ink for
the main image and Early Espresso Ink for the detailed image.
