BLACK AND WHITE THANK YOU

Today’s card features the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper (this one is a last chance item and on sale for just $7.50 a pack while supplies last( and the Textured Notes Stamps.  I needed a number of thank you cards for gifts I received over the holidays so I decided to come up with something simple that would use up a few retured prodcuts as well as some getting ready to retire.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Smoky State cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.  I then cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 1 x 4” and embossed it with the Timer 3D Embossing Folder (retired but any folder you like would work great) and cut a piece of the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper to 4 x 4 ¼”.  I flipped these two over and taped them together on the back.  To hide that seam I used a piece of retired Black and White Gingham ribbon I had in my stash (white, gray or black ribbon would look great as well) and tied a square knot on the front of my paper.  I adhered this layer to my card base and moved onto my sentiment.  I cut a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock to 1 ¾ x 2 ½” and a piece of Basic White cardstock to 1 ½ x 2 ¼”.  I stamped the Basic White cardstock with a stamp from the Textured Notes Stamp Set in Smoky slate ink.  I stamped the sentiment “thank you” from the same stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on it as well.  Then I added the white to the slate and adhered it to the front of the card with Dimensionals.  As you can see this was a fast and easy card to make multiples of.  I also used the same stamp I used on the sentiment layer to stamp both the inside of my card and my envelope in Smoky Slate.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
