Color Fun Thanks

Today’s I did not create a single card but instead I created 3 cards using the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set and the Amazing Thanks dies.  I wanted to show that you can take a single stamp and die and just by changing up the color make different cards.  So I chose to show this off using three of the colors that will be retiring (yes I am sad to see them go but wait until you see the new colors) which are Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.  I was especially pleased with the two green cards as they would be perfect cards to send to a man.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is either Polished Pink, Soft Succulent or Evening Evergreen (depending on which card you want to create) cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.   To that I added a layer of Basic White cardstock that measured 4 1/8 x 5 3/8”.  I then added my 2021 – 2023 In Color Designer Series Paper (retired) in Polished Pink, Soft Succulent or Evening Evergreen (depending on which card you want to create) cut to 4 x 5 ¼”.  Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 2 ½ x 5” and stamped my tree image from the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set onto it using either Polished Pink, Soft Succulent or Evening Evergreen (depending on which card you want to create) and I added it to the left side of my card.  To complete my cards, I added the word “thanks” which was die cut using the Amazing Thanks Dies.  I cut the base of the word out of Basic White cardstock for all three cards and then the top thanks were die cut out of Polished Pink, Soft Succulent or Evening Evergreen (depending on which card you want to create).  I adhered the top layer of the thanks to the bottom layer and then popped the whole word up on my card using Mini Dimensionals.  I love the way these turned out and am already planning to make a whole set of them in different colors.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Special Day (4- 20-23)

Today’s card was created using the Framing Florets stamp set and the beautiful Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper, both of which are retiring at the end of this month.  I will be sad to see this stamp set and it’s coordinating dies retire but I will be much sadder to see this beautiful DSP retire.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Orchid Oasis cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼”, to the bottom of it I added a piece of the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper that measured 3 x 3 ¾”.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 2 ¼ x 3 ¾” and stamped my floral image from the Framing Florets stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and my sentiment from that same set in Soft Succulent ink.  I colored in my flowers using Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends and then attached it to the top of my piece of Soft Succulent cardstock.  I covered where the Designer Series Paper and the Basic White piece come together with a piece of the Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon by just wrapping it around the piece and adhering it to the back.  For my final addition I added three of the Pastel Pearls.  As you can see this is a fast and easy card to create and it can be done using any Designer Series Paper, any cardstock and any image set you chose.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Pink Petals

Today’s card was created using the Petal Park Bundle which will be carrying over into the new catalog but will not be offered as a bundle after May 2nd so if you want to enjoy a 10% savings on the stamp and the punch be sure to get your ordered before then.  I have really been enjoying this bundle as punches are always quick and easy to use.  I wanted to show how the stamps could be used both as single images as well as popping the flowers up to add additional interest.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Petal Pink cut to cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.    I then added a layer of Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper (this is a host paper) that measured 4 ¼ x 5 ½” and totally covered the front of the card.  I die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Scalloped Contour Dies and stamped it.  I started with the stamp from the set that does the dark outlines of the foliage and stamped that using Mossy Meadow ink.  I then used the stamp that fills the foliage in using Pear Pizzazz ink.  I added some little Blushing Bride dots around the piece using one of the stamps that has just these little dots on it (the green ones are on the foliage stamp).  Next, I stamped my flowers starting with the outline stamp onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock stamping with Merry Merlot ink.  I then used the stamp that fills the flowers in and stamped them with Blushing Bride ink.  I colored the center of the largest two flowers with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend Marker and I punched them out using the punch from the bundle.  Once my flowers were punched out, I used my bonefolder to curve the sides of the petals up and attached them to my card with Dimensionals.  I added this piece to the center of my card using Dimensionals.  For my sentiment I stamped the sentiment “Thinking of You” from the Go To Greetings Stamp Set (this set is perfect for sentiments) onto a scrap of Blushing Bride cardstock using Mossy Meadow ink and die cut it using a die from the Something Fancy Dies (remember you can do this same thing with a good pair of scissors if you don’t have the die).  I added that to the left bottom as shown in the picture and then I added three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish up the front of my card.

For the inside of my card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼”.  I stamped my foliage just as I did for the front of the card just allowing some of it to run off the paper, and I added some more of those pink dots.  I stamped my flowers using the same colors as the front of the card I just stamped directly onto the paper this time instead of punching them out.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

You Fill My Day With Happiness

Today’s card features one the retiring bundles called Cheerful Basket and oh is it ever cheerful.  I love the combination of the Parakeet Part and Sweet Sorbet colors I used to create this card.  I wanted to do something fun and bright and this sure fit the bill.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Parakeet Party cut to cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 2 1/8 and 4 ¼”.  I folded the card in half like you would normally do and then folded the front back from right to left on the 2 1/8” score mark.  I added a piece of the 2022 – 2024 In Color Designer Series Paper (parakeet party) that measured 1 7/8 x 5 ¼” to that flap.  Next, I cut a piece of Parakeet Party cardstock to 2 ¾ x 4 ¼” and mounted it on the center of the card (be sure to only add adhesive to the left side so your card will open).  I then die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock using the 4th largest of the Deckled Rectangles and stamped my sentiment “YOU FILL MY DAY WITH happiness” from the bundle near the top of this piece of white using Sweet Sorbet ink.  I then stamped my apples (also from the bundle) directly under the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (I also stamped them on the envelope and on my inside piece of Basic White cardstock that measures 4 x 5 ¼”).  I colored all my apples using the Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends and the leaves all with the Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends.

To finish off my card I die cut the basket from Soft Suede cardstock (note:  I cut the two layers that weave together and wove them adhering just a little on each end of the pieces that are woven through and then I added the basket to the die that cuts out the stamped image for better stability).  I die cut the cute little cloth from Parakeet Party cardstock and then added the whole basket to the front of my card using Dimensionals.  For my final embellishment I made and added a triple bow made from the Linen Thread attaching it with a Mini Glue Dot.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
