Today’s card once again features one of the new sets from the annual catalog, this time I am using just the stamp set from the bundle called Citrus Blooms. I loved how quick and easy this card came together and I think it would make a nice set of cards as well. I wanted to use just paper and ink (I consider my Stampin’ Blend Markers a form of ink).
Here is what I came up
with…
The card base is Blueberry Bushel cardstock
cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. I
added a piece of the coordinating Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper as
a layer and it was cut to 4 x 5 ¼”. Next,
I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 5/8 x 4 7/8” and stamped two of the
images from the set in either corner using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (this is
the right ink to use with the alcohol markers so it doesn’t bleed). Once those were stamped, I added my sentiment
“YOU’RE THE best kind OF person” to the upper right corner using Blueberry
Bushel Ink. With everything stamped I
began to color in my images (see the colors I used below). Once everything was colored, I added this
layer to a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock that measured 3 ¾ x 5” and then
popped that layer up on the card base using Dimensionals. I finished the card off with three of the
Loose Frosted Dots (an online exclusive product). All in all this was a pretty quick and easy
card to make.
