THREE DIFFERENT QUICK AND EASY CARDS USING THE SAME PAPER

Today’s cards features the Lovely and Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I loved this Designer Series Paper but felt like the stamps and dies that coordinated looked like a bundles I already had so I bought just the paper.  This is a point I like to make when I teach classes, you don’t have to buy everything in a suite of products to get a great result.  I thought my dies from Impressions Abloom (on online exclusive) would look great with this DSP and I was so right.

Here is what I came up with…

I created three different cards using the same Designer Series Paper and just made some small adjustments to each.  For card #1 I started with a card base that is Calypso Coral cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then added a layer of Country Woods Designer Series Paper that measured 4 x 5 ¼” and was embossed using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that is 3 ¼ x 3 7/8” to this I adhered a piece of the Lovely and Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper that measured 2 7/8 x 3 5/8”, I added this to the center of the card using Dimensionals.  Then I die cut one each of the larger and smaller flowers from the Impressions Abloom Die Set out of Calypso Coral cardstock, 2 each of the leaves out of Granny Apple Green cardstock and one each of the flower centers out of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I adhered the large flower and one leaf to the front bottom left of the front of my card.  I stamped the sentiment “Happy Birthday” from the Banner Sayings Bundle onto a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock using Calypso Coral Ink and punched it out using the coordinating punch.  I punched a second flag out of Calypso Coral cardstock and put it under the first letting the right side stick out just a bit and adhered that to the front of the card.  For the inside I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and added the small flower and leaf I have left from the die cutting earlier to the bottom corner.

For card #2 I started with a card base that is Crumb Cake cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then added a layer of Country Woods Designer Series Paper that measured 4 x 5 ¼” and was embossed using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I cut a piece of Gold Foil 3 ¼ x 3 7/8” to this I adhered a piece of the Lovely and Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper that measured 2 7/8 x 3 5/8”, I added this to the center of the card using Dimensionals.  Then I die cut one each of the larger and smaller flower, two each of the leaves and one each of the smaller and larger flower centers from the Impressions Abloom Die Set out of Gold Foil (note if you die cut these from the center of the layer you put under the DSP just staying away from the edges you save a lot of foil).  I adhered the large flower and one leaf to the front bottom left of the front of my card.  I stamped the sentiment “Thanks a million” from the Banner Sayings Bundle onto a scrap of Calypso Coral cardstock using VersaMark Ink and added Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed it before punched it out using the coordinating punch.  I punched a second flag out of Gold Foil and put it under the first letting the right side stick out just a bit and adhered that to the front of the card.  For the inside I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and added the small flower and leaf I have left from the die cutting earlier to the bottom corner.

For card #23I started with a card base that is Calypso Coral cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. Then I die cut one each of the larger and smaller flower, two each of the leaves and one each of the smaller and larger flower centers from the Impressions Abloom Die Set out of Gold Foil.  I adhered the large flower and one leaf to the front bottom left of the front of my card.  I stamped the sentiment “celebrate” from the Banner Sayings Bundle onto a scrap of Calypso Coral cardstock using VersaMark Ink and added Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed it before punched it out using the coordinating punch.
