BIRTHDAY WISHES

Today’s card features the Delightful Wishes Bundle, Floral Delight Designer Series Paper and the Spotlight on Nature Dies.  I was looking for ideas for this set as I purchased everything in the collection (I couldn’t help myself I loved all of it) and I came across a cute gate card that StampwithLaurie had posted on Pinterest.  I liked the look so I just altered it to use the DSP I wanted and recreated my own.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Old Olive cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 2 1/8” and 6 3/8”.   I added a piece of the beautiful Floral Delight Designer Series Paper that measured 2 x 5 3/8” to the left-hand side and cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to the same size and embossed it with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder before attaching it to the right-hand side.  Next, I cut a circle from the Spotlight on Nature Dies out of a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock that was 3 ½” square.  Then I cut out the next smaller circle from a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 3” square.

I stamped my white circle with the flowers from the stamp set.  These are two step stamps so I first stamped the highlights with Daffodil Delight Ink and then stamped the overall flower stamp in Lemon Lolly.  (I find it easier to line these stamps up by stamping the darker color first and then adding the lighter on top).  Once that was done, I adhered the two circles together and adhered that to the left side of the card front only (remember if you put glue on both sides the card can’t open up.  Now to finish the card, I stamped the word “wishing” from the stamp set onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured about 2 x 4 ¼” using Old Olive Ink and die cut that out using the coordinating die in the bundle.  I added that to the center of my circles using Mini Dimensionals.  Then I stamped the sentiment “YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY” onto a little scrap of Basic White cardstock in Daffodil Delight Ink and die cut that with the label die in the bundle.  I added that right below my “wishing”.  The final embellishment was to add one of the adorable Tiny Bee Trinkets.

For the inside of the card and the front of the envelope I simply stamped one of the flowers and leaves from the stamp set one each.  The insert for the card is Basic White cardstock cut to 4 x 5 ¼”.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it and the colors were super cheerful.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:

MARBLED ELEGANCE SENDING LOVE

Today’s card features the beautiful Hearts of Elegance Bundle and the Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This card was inspired by one I saw Natalie Travis post, I just added my own touches to it and her is what I came up with…

The card base is Bubble Bath cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.  I stamped my sentiment “SENDING lots of love” from the Hearts of Elegance Stamp set onto the bottom right corner using Real Red Ink.  I added a piece of the Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper that measured 3 x 4” to the top of the card and then layered a piece of Real Read cardstock that measured ¾ x 4 ¼” over that (it goes all the way from one side of the card to the other.  I used the coordinating die set to cut out a heart from Gold Foil Paper (I love the design on this heart) and used Dimensionals to pop it up.

I added three little heart embellishments.  These were from my stash and are not available for purchase at this time, but there are some adorable little gold heart embellishments available that go with this collection (I forgot to add them to my order, lol).  For the inside I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped a single heart from the stamp set on it using Real Red Ink.  I used that same stamp to decorate my envelope because I don’t like naked envelopes, lol.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:

GOLDEN GREENERY BIRTHDAY WISHES

Today’s card features the Golden Greenery Dies, the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set and the Greetings of the Seasons Dies.  My goal today was to show that you can think outside the box and use products in ways not shown in the catalogs or online.  These products appear to be “Christmasy” but can be used in another way completely.  I decided to make a masculine birthday card with them.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Basic White cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.   I then cut a layer of Old Olive cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” an added it to my card base.  Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 ¾ x 5” and embossed it with the So Swirly Embossing Folder and added that to the top of the old olive layer.  With that completed I started my die cutting.  I used the Golden Greenery dies to die cut out some of the foliage pieces from the Graceful Greenery Vellum 12 x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper.  There is one piece of a textured white vellum in the package and I also used some of the dies to cut them out.  I added those to the front of my card.

For my sentiment I used the Everyday Greetings Stamps and stamped “BIRTHDAY Wishes” onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock with Old Olive Ink and then die cut that using one of the Greetings of the Seasons Dies.  I love that these dies coordinate with both the Greetings of the Season stamps as well as the Everyday Greetings Stamps making the most of both sets.  I added that to the front center of my card using Dimensionals.  To finish off my card I used a Mini Glue Dot to add a double bow made from the Gold and Silver (I used the silver) 1/8” Trim Combo Pack (I used it to cover up the hole on the tag die) and added three of the Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.

TERRIFIC TOADSTOOL HI

Today’s card features the Terrific Toadstools Bundle (stamp and punch) and the Toadstool Gardens 6 x6” Designer Series Paper (this paper is a freebie during Sale-A-Bration).  I saw a picture of a card that was designed by Sherri Bishop and fell in love with it so I decided to give it a whirl and see what I could come up with.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Smoky Slate cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  Next, I added a layer of Pebbled Path cardstock that measured 3 ¾ x 5”.  To that layer I added my Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper (the best part is with the way this is cut you can get two cards out of one 6 x 6” piece of DSP), I cut the piece in half making two pieces that were 3 x 6”.  I took one of those pieces and cut it at 2”, 1 ½” and 1” (that way the pattern flows nicely across the front of the card) and added them spacing equally on the top and sides of each piece to my Pebbled Path cardstock layer.  I then cut another piece of the Designer Series Paper (just picked one I thought coordinated well with the first one I used and cut it to 1 x 4 ¾” and added it to the bottom of the layer again making sure to keep the spacing even on the sides and bottom.

Now it was time to add some embellishments.  I stamped a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 1 x 4 ¾” with the sentiment “poppin’ up to say hi” toward the left side in Melon Mambo Ink.  I added that to a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock that measured 1 ¼ x 5” and then added that whole piece to the front of my card.  I then stamped two of the mushrooms, one in Cherry Cobbler Ink and one in Melon Mambo Ink and two stems in Gray Granite Ink.  The two mushrooms and the smaller stem can be punched out using the coordinating punch and the larger stem is easy to fussy cut.  I added those to the front of my card Popping the larger of the two up with some Mini Dimensionals (I added one mini dimensional under the top of the smaller mushroom as well).  For a final addition I added three of the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins (another Sale-A-Bration freebie) to finish off my card.  For the inside I simply cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped it with some of the smaller mushrooms from the stamp set (I used those same stamps to decorate the envelope).

DELIGHTFUL WISHES BIRTHDAY

Today’s card features the new Delightful Wishes Suite Collection.  I love each and every component of this amazing collection.  The colors are beautiful and the tiny bees are adorable.  I loved working with it and plan to create a product based class to offer in February/March using it.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Daffodil Delight cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then added a layer of the Floral Delight 12 x 12” Designer Series Paper that was cut to 4 x 5 ¼”.  Next, I die cut two tags from the Greetings of the Seasons Dies (these dies are so versatile) one was cut from Balmy Blue cardstock and the second from another of the patterned papers from the Floral Delights DSP.  I off set them just a bit so both would show and I added a little piece of ¼” Diagonal Trim Combo Pack (I used the white ribbon) and then tied a little bow around that using the new Daffodil Delight 1/8” Satin Ribbon that is part of the Delightful Wishes Collection.  I added this to my card front.

Then I die cut out the word “Wishing” from the coordinating dies in the set.  I cut the word layer out of Daffodil Delight cardstock and the shadow layer out of Balmy Blue cardstock.  I added it to my card using Mini Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment “YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY” onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Balmy Blue Ink and die cut it using the sentiment die from the Delightful Wishes Bundle.  I also added this using the Mini Dimensionals.  My final addition to the front of the card was one of the adorable Tiny Bee Trinkets.

For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼”.  I stamped the flowers from the set onto the bottom right using Daffodil Delight Ink and Peach Pie Ink.  I then stamped the leaves onto it using Old Olive Ink.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  I am listing individual supplies as well as a link to order the whole suite collection of products.  Be sure to follow me at:
