True Love Stories Last Forever

I am in love with the new Elegantly Said bundle.  The entire stamp set is so elegant as are all the other parts of the suite.  So, I decided to start with a card that is pretty basic but does a great job of showing off just how elegant this set can be.

Here is what I came up with…

I used basic black and white with just a little pop of gold to make an elegant anniversary card.  The card base is Basic White cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  The second layer is Basic Black cardstock cut to 5 ¼ x 4”.  I then cut a third layer of Basic White cardstock that measures 5 x 3 ¾”.  I stamped my images using two of the stamps from the Elegantly Said Bundle onto the white layer using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (I love how crisp an image I get when using memento ink).  I stamped the scroll work in the top left and bottom right corners and then added the florals next to them (I did allow the florals to stamp off the sides of the layer).  I adhered layers two and three together and then added them to the Basic White cardstock base using Dimensionals.

I then stamped my sentiment “True Love Stories Last Forever” onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 7/8 x 3” again using the Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I mounted the sentiment layer onto a piece of Gold Foil that measures 1 1/8 x 3”.  I placed that diagonally across the front of the card using Dimensionals.  For my final touch I added three of the Gilded Gems, two larger ones in the center of each of the scroll works and one of the smaller ones on the sentiment layer.

As you can see this is a pretty straight forward card that uses just paper, ink and a little gem embellishment.  I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Polished Pink Pansy Petals

First let me just apologize for not posting much lately.  I was so busy getting ready for the launch of the new catalog (wait until I can share all the beautiful new products I have been working with) and then my mother-in-law fell and broke her hip and that has consumed us for some time, but I am ready to be back sharing again.

I have been having some fun with some of the new products as well as the new In Colors featured in the new 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalog.  Today’s share was a card I designed for my local customers to make during my catalog launch party back on May 1st.

I wanted to use the new Pansy Petals suite as well as one of the new In Colors, this one is Polished Pink.  So here is what I came up with…

The card base is Polished Pink cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a layer of Basic White cardstock that measures 4 x 5 ¼” that was embossed using the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing folder.  Using the dies from the Pansy Patch Bundle I die cut one of the pansies and one of the pansy buds from Basic White cardstock.  I inked them a little especially around the edges with Polished Pink ink using a sponge dauber.  I cut the throat of the pansy from Polished Pink cardstock and the center from Daffodil Delight cardstock.  The two larger leaves and one smaller leaf as well as the stem for the bud were cut from Garden Green cardstock and inked with Garden Green Ink.  I used my Bone Folder to shape my leaves so they looked a little more natural.  I stamped my sentiment which is from the stamp set in the bundle onto Basic White cardstock with Polished Pink Ink and then die cut it using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

To assemble the card, I added the Basic White layer on the card base.  I then added a strip of the Polished Pink paper from the In Color Designer Series Paper that measured 2 x 5 ½” to the left side of the card.  I then added my sentiment centered at the bottom of the card using Dimensionals.  Then I started to build my pansy.  I used Dimensionals again and once my flower was positioned, I just slipped my bud and leaves up under it.  The final addition was one of the 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewels in the Polished Pink, I just added it to my die cut for my sentiment for some additional interest.

The inside of the card is just a plain piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 4 x 5 ¼” that has one of the little Pansy Buds in the bottom corner.

I hope you enjoy this card, the guests at my catalog launch certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
